K3X calls happen in the browser. Click the phone icon in the top bar, the Call chip on a record, or Call in the Action Bar on a selection. The call connects in about a second and a live-call banner stays pinned at the top while you keep working.
A K3X phone number. Buy one in Settings → Phone & Voicemail. Voice does not need A2P 10DLC. That is an SMS requirement only.
Microphone permission. The first time you call, your browser asks to use the microphone. Allow it for app.k3x.ai. If you dismissed it, re-enable it from the browser's site settings.
A headset. Laptop microphones pick up keyboard noise and echo. Any USB headset or earbuds fix it.
Click the phone icon in the top bar to open the dialer popover. Device settings sit at the bottom:
Output: the speaker or headset you hear the call through.
Ringing: where incoming calls ring.
Microphone: the mic you talk into.
Calling number: which of your K3X numbers shows as caller ID.
Test Output and Microphone before your first real call.
Click the phone icon in the top bar.
Type a name in Search People or type a number, or type a number directly.
Click Call from +1 .... The button shows the number you are calling from.
Open a company or person and click the Call chip above the timeline. If the record has several numbers, pick one.
Tick several records in Companies or People and click Call in the Action Bar. K3X works through the selection one call after another, so you can call a whole Smartview in a click.
The live-call banner stays pinned at the top of the app wherever you go. It shows who you are talking to, the timer, and Mute and End. Type notes in the banner while you talk. They are saved to the timeline the moment you hang up.
After hang-up the call appears on the record timeline under the Calls filter with its duration, outcome and the notes you typed. The recording and transcript attach to the same entry when those are enabled for your workspace. Agents that trigger on timeline events can use the call as a signal, for example to send a follow-up email or move the deal forward.
Calls spend credits from your single pool, in the Calling category. Open your profile (avatar, top right) to see the Credit breakdown.
No audio. Check Output in the dialer popover. The wrong speaker is the usual cause.
They cannot hear you. Microphone permission is denied. Click the mic icon in the address bar and allow it.
Dropped calls. Almost always network. K3X needs a stable connection. Flaky Wi-Fi cuts calls.
International dialing fails. International voice is enabled per workspace by K3X support to prevent toll fraud. Ask in the SUPPORT chat.
