# Send email from K3X: the docked composer, templates, snippets and scheduling

Email one person from a record or many from the Action Bar, with templates, snippets, scheduling and AI drafting.

Open a record and click the **Email** chip above the timeline. The composer docks in place on the record page, so you can read the timeline while you write. You need a connected Gmail or Outlook mailbox first.

## Email one person from a record

1.  Open a company or person from **Companies** or **People**.
    
2.  Click the **Email** chip above the timeline. The composer docks in place.
    
3.  Pick the recipient if the record has more than one email address.
    
4.  Write your message, or pick a template or snippet.
    
5.  Click **Send**, or choose a time to schedule it.
    

The sent email appears on the timeline under the **Emails** filter. Replies thread onto the same record.

## Email a selection from the Action Bar

1.  In **Companies** or **People**, tick the checkboxes of the records you want. Selection is sticky across filters, so you can narrow a Smartview, tick, then narrow again.
    
2.  Click **Email** in the Action Bar at the bottom.
    
3.  Write once. K3X sends one email per recipient from your connected mailbox.
    

## Templates, snippets and scheduling

-   **Templates** are full emails you reuse: a demo follow-up, a pricing recap, a check-in.
    
-   **Snippets** are short blocks you drop into any email: a booking link, a case study paragraph, your pricing line.
    
-   **Scheduling** sends at a time you pick. Scheduled emails go out from your mailbox at that time, even if K3X is closed in your browser.
    

## Drafting with AI

You can ask K3X to draft or rewrite an email, either inside the composer or from the **Command Center** bar at the bottom of the screen ("draft a follow-up to Acme about yesterday's demo"). AI drafting spends credits from your pool, in the AI Credits category. Sending the email itself does not, because it goes through your own mailbox. Your **Settings → AI Behavior** tone, length and rules apply to every draft, and your **Personal AI preferences** shape drafts written on your behalf.

## Attachments

Attachments you receive land automatically in the record's **Files** panel on the left, tagged "From email". You can search, upload and download files there. Files you attach to an outgoing email are sent through your mailbox as normal.

## Good to know

-   Agents can send email too. An agent step such as "send the demo follow-up template" uses the same connected mailbox and logs to the same timeline.
    
-   Email sends from your address, so your mailbox provider's sending limits apply.
    
-   Keep CAN-SPAM in mind for cold outreach: identify yourself, give a real address and honor unsubscribe requests.
