Run a command on a selection

Select rows in Companies or People, click Commands in the Action Bar, and describe the bulk change in plain English.

Select records in Companies or People, click Commands in the Action Bar, and tell K3X what to do with them. You review the proposed changes before they apply.

Steps

  1. Open Companies or People. Filter or open a Smartview to find the rows you want.

  2. Tick the checkbox on each row, or the header checkbox to select the whole list. Selection is sticky across filters, so you can narrow, select, narrow again and select more.

  3. The Action Bar appears at the bottom: N selected · Assign · Merge · Commands · Agents · Email · Call · SMS · Archive.

  4. Click Commands. The Command Center opens with the selected records in scope.

  5. Describe the change. Example: "Set Pipeline Stage to Went Cold and add a note 'No reply after 3 attempts'."

  6. Review the proposed changes. Confirm to apply them, or type a correction first.

Commands that work well in bulk

  • "Assign these to Dana."

  • "Set the custom field Region to Southeast."

  • "Tag the industry as Roofing where it is blank."

  • "Move every deal on these companies to Demo Booked."

  • "Archive any company with no email and no phone."

  • "Add a note: 'Imported from the October trade show list'."

Commands vs the other Action Bar buttons

  • Assign, Merge, Archive: one-click versions of the most common bulk actions. Use them when you do not need to explain anything.

  • Agents: run an agent on the selection.

  • Email, Call, SMS: start outreach on the selection.

  • Commands: anything else, or several changes at once, in plain English.

Review before apply

Bulk changes are hard to undo, so the Command Center shows you what it is about to do before it does it. Read the summary: the number of records, the fields that will change and the new values. If something is off, say so ("only the ones in Georgia") and it adjusts the plan. Nothing is written until you confirm.

Tips

  • Start with a small selection (five to ten rows) to check the result, then run the same command on the full list.

  • Name fields the way they appear in your grid or in Settings → Custom Fields.

  • If a command needs a value that does not exist yet (a new stage, a new custom field), create it first in Settings.

  • Archived records can be restored. See "Merge duplicates, archive and restore".

Credits

A command spends AI credits from your pool. The amount scales with how much work it involves, not with how many rows you selected, so bulk commands are an efficient way to clean data.
