There are four ways to add companies and people to K3X. Pick the one that matches where your data is right now.
1. Add one record manually
Click the + button in the top bar.
Choose Create record.
Enter the company name and website, then save.
Open the new record and use + Add Person in the right panel to add the people you talk to, with their email and phone.
Use this for the one-off prospect you met at an event or a referral that came in by phone.
2. Import a CSV
Export your records from a spreadsheet or your old CRM as a CSV file. One row per record, one column per field, clear column headers.
Click + in the top bar and choose Import CSV.
Upload the file and map each column to a K3X field. Columns that do not match a standard field can be mapped to a custom field so nothing is lost.
Start the import. Progress and past imports are listed under Imports in your avatar menu (top right).
Spot-check a few records when it finishes. For a full migration, read "Import your data and migrate from another CRM".
3. Reveal from the Database
The Database tab holds 200M+ companies and people. Describe who you want in plain English, filter the results, then click Reveal on a row. K3X returns the verified email and/or direct phone and the record can be pushed into Companies and People. Reveals are deduplicated against records you already own, and each reveal spends credits from your pool.
Use this when your pipeline is empty or you want new prospects that match your best customers.
4. Ask Claude or ChatGPT
Once K3X is connected in Settings → Authorized Apps, you can type a request such as "Create a company for Acme Roofing, acmeroofing.com, with Jane Doe as the contact, [email protected]." The assistant calls the K3X record tools and the record appears in your workspace. This works for one record or a pasted list.
Agents can add records too
An agent with a Webhook trigger can create a company, person and deal from a form submission or any other tool that posts to it. The Company Creation template does exactly this. See "Webhooks in K3X: the basics".
Avoiding duplicates
Use the website as the company identifier and the email as the person identifier when you import.
Search before you create. The search box in the top bar covers companies and people.
If duplicates slip through, select them and use Merge in the Action Bar.
