Create your organization or join one

The first onboarding step. Set up a new K3X workspace or accept a pending invitation.

Step 1 of onboarding asks: are you here to start your own organization, or did someone invite you to theirs?

If you've been invited.

When you signed up with the email someone invited, K3X shows your pending invitations on this screen automatically. Click the invitation, and you're attached to that organization with the role the inviter picked. You can skip the rest of this article — you'll go straight to the profile step next.

If you're starting fresh.

Pick "Set up your company." K3X asks for three things:

  • Organization name — what your team calls itself

  • Website (optional) — auto-prefixed with https:// so you don't have to type it

  • Timezone — used to render dates and times correctly across the app

Submit, and K3X provisions a complete workspace for you in the background:

  • You become the Owner of this organization

  • Four roles are seeded and ready to assign — Owner (yours), Administrator, Sales Manager, Sales Representative

  • Your pipeline ships with six default stages: New Opportunity Identified, Qualification & Discovery, Proposal Development, Contract Negotiation Phase, Deal Closed & Won, Deal Closed & Lost. You can rename, recolor, reorder, archive, or add stages later from Settings.

  • Your AI Behavior settings get sensible defaults. You'll customize tone, voice, and brand persona later from Settings → AI Behavior.

A few things worth knowing:

  • You can belong to multiple K3X organizations with the same email. Switch between them from the avatar menu in the sidebar.

  • Joining doesn't merge with creating. If you create your own org and later get invited to a teammate's, those are two separate memberships in two separate workspaces.

  • The Owner role is locked. Owners can't be demoted, disabled, or removed by anyone else (including admins). Only K3X support can transfer ownership today.
