Notifications: what K3X sends you and how to control it

Every notification type — in-app, desktop, and email — and how to quiet the ones you don't want.

K3X notifies you in three ways: in-app notifications, desktop (browser) notifications, and email. Each has its own control, so you can keep the signal and cut the noise.

What triggers notifications

  • Missed calls and voicemails — in-app alert, optional desktop notification, and an email summary that includes the voicemail transcript and a link to the lead

  • Inbound SMS and email replies on leads you own

  • Mentions — a teammate @mentions you on a lead

  • Agent activity — runs that need your approval, and failures worth knowing about

  • Assignment — a lead or task gets assigned to you

Where the controls live

Settings → Profile → Notifications is the per-user control panel. Turn each channel (in-app, desktop, email) on or off per notification type — for example, keep missed-call emails but silence desktop pop-ups during deep work.

Desktop notifications also require browser permission: allow notifications for app.k3x.ai when prompted, or enable them in your browser's site settings.

Per-number routing

Ring behavior for inbound calls (who rings, in what order, and what happens on no answer) is configured per phone number under Settings → Phone Numbers → [number] → Inbound — that's separate from your personal notification preferences.

"I turned something off but still get emails"

Work down this list:

  • Check Settings → Profile → Notifications — email toggles are separate from in-app toggles.

  • If the emails describe agent actions, they may be approval requests or run notifications from an agent that's still on — open the Agents tab and check its state and pending runs.

  • Emails about unread chat messages can also come from the messaging channels themselves (e.g. missed-conversation fallbacks).

  • Still getting mail you can't explain? Forward one to [email protected] — the message ID lets us trace exactly which system sent it.
