# Profile, password and sign-in security

Update your name and contact details in Settings → Profile, and manage your password and sign-in method in Settings → Security.

Your personal account settings live under **MY ACCOUNT** in Settings: **Profile** for who you are, **Security** for how you sign in.

## Profile

**Settings → Profile** holds your avatar, first and last name, work email and phone. Your name appears wherever you act in K3X: the timeline, the Owner field on records, mentions, calls and texts you place, and emails you send through your connected mailbox.

1. Open **Settings → Profile**.

2. Edit your name, work email or phone. Click the avatar to shuffle it.

3. Save.

Profile is per user, not per workspace. A change here shows in every K3X workspace you belong to.

## Security

**Settings → Security** shows the email linked to your sign-in and lets you change your password.

### Change your password

1. Open **Settings → Security**.

2. Click **Change password**.

3. Enter your current password and a new one of at least 8 characters.

### Forgot your password

On the sign-in screen at `app.k3x.ai/auth/signin`, click **Forgot password**. The reset email comes from our sign-in provider, so the sender is a `noreply@` address rather than k3x.ai. Check spam if it does not arrive within a couple of minutes.

### Signed in with Google or Microsoft

There is no K3X password to change. Your sign-in, including two-factor authentication, is managed by Google or Microsoft. Keep using the same method every time: a password account with the same email is a separate account, and the two do not merge.

## Good habits

- Use a unique password or sign in with Google or Microsoft and turn on two-factor authentication there.

- Sign out on shared computers from the avatar panel (**Sign out**).

- Review **Settings → Authorized Apps** now and then. It lists your Claude and ChatGPT connections with their scopes and a **Revoke** button.

- Review **Settings → Connected Apps** and disconnect mailboxes you no longer use.

## Deleting your account

Removing you from a workspace removes your access, not your K3X account. To delete your account and personal data, email `hey@k3x.ai` from the account's email address.
