# What happens when credits run out

Your CRM keeps working at zero credits. Agents, drafting, calls, texts and reveals pause until you add a pack.

Running out of credits does not break K3X. Your records, pipelines and timelines stay fully usable. Only the actions that spend credits pause until you top up or your monthly credits reset.

## What keeps working

-   Companies, People and Pipelines: view, edit, filter, sort, Smartviews.
    
-   Record pages, notes, files, custom fields, deals and stages.
    
-   CSV import and export.
    
-   Email sent through your connected Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox, written by you.
    
-   Inbound email, calendar sync and webhooks that create records.
    
-   Settings, team management and billing.
    

## What pauses

-   **Agents**: running agents stop at their next step and wait.
    
-   **Drafting and the Command Center**: AI answers and drafts.
    
-   **Calls**: outbound dialing from K3X numbers.
    
-   **Texts**: outbound SMS and MMS.
    
-   **Data reveals** in the Database. Browsing still works.
    

Nothing is lost. Paused agents pick up where they left off once credits are available.

## How to resume

1.  Click your **avatar** and click **\+ Add credits**, or open **Settings → Billing**.
    
2.  Buy one or more 100,000-credit packs at $99 each. Credits are available immediately.
    
3.  Check the **Agents** tab. Agents that were running resume on their own; if one shows Paused, open it and click **Activate**.
    

Or wait for the reset date shown in the Credit breakdown, when your monthly 400,000 reload.

## Avoid it next time

-   Turn on **Auto-recharge** in **Settings → Billing**. When you drop below 2,500 credits, K3X adds a pack for $99 without interrupting anything.
    
-   Check the **Usage this cycle** bar once a week.
    
-   Review the **Credits (7d)** column in the Agents tab to catch an agent that is firing more often than you intended.
    
-   Turn off recording and transcription on numbers that do not need them.
    
-   Narrow Database searches by title before revealing.
    

## Trial workspaces

Trial credits are a fixed amount and do not auto-recharge. If you use them up before day 7, converting to the Adaptive plan loads the full pool immediately.

## Failed payment looks the same

If paid actions pause but the breakdown shows credits remaining, the cause is a failed payment, not an empty pool. Update your card in **Settings → Billing → Payment & invoices**.
