What the K3X MCP can do: full tool reference

Every tool family the K3X MCP server exposes to Claude and ChatGPT, in plain English with example prompts, plus what is not available.

The K3X MCP server exposes six tool families: companies, people, deals and pipeline, custom fields, agents and workspace. You never call tools yourself; Claude or ChatGPT picks them from what you ask. This page shows what is possible.

One naming note first

In tool names, lead means a company and contact means a person. search_leads searches the Companies tab; search_contacts searches People. The assistant usually hides this, but you will see the words in its explanations.

Companies

Tools: search_leads, get_lead_details, get_lead_activity_feed, create_lead, update_lead, archive_lead, restore_lead, bulk_create_leads, bulk_update_leads, bulk_archive_leads, bulk_restore_leads, bulk_add_lead_website, bulk_replace_lead_website, bulk_remove_lead_website, assign_lead_owner, bulk_assign_lead_owner, set_lead_custom_field, bulk_set_lead_custom_field.

In plain English: find companies by name, website, owner or stage; read a full record and its timeline; create and edit companies singly or in bulk; add, replace or remove websites; assign owners; set custom fields; archive and restore. Archive is reversible; nothing is permanently deleted.

Try: "Find companies with no website." "Assign every unowned company created this month to Priya."

People

Tools: search_contacts, get_contact_details, create_contact, update_contact, archive_contact, restore_contact, bulk_create_contacts, bulk_update_contacts, bulk_archive_contacts, bulk_restore_contacts, bulk_add_contact_email, bulk_replace_contact_email, bulk_remove_contact_email, bulk_add_contact_phone, bulk_replace_contact_phone, bulk_remove_contact_phone, link_contact_to_lead, unlink_contact_from_lead, set_contact_custom_field, bulk_set_contact_custom_field, bulk_create_leads_with_contacts.

In plain English: find people by name, email or phone; read and edit records; add, replace or remove emails and phones in bulk; link or unlink a person and a company; set custom fields; create companies with their people from a pasted list; archive and restore.

Try: "Add [email protected] as a person at Acme Roofing." "Which people have no phone number?"

Deals and pipeline

Tools: search_deals, create_deal, update_deal, move_deal_to_stage, archive_deal, restore_deal, list_deal_stages, set_deal_custom_field.

In plain English: list your stages; find deals by stage, owner, amount or company; create deals with a name, amount and stage; move deals between stages; update amount or fields; archive and restore.

Try: "What is the total value in Demo Booked?" "Move every deal in Trial Started older than 14 days to Went Cold."

Custom fields

Tools: list_custom_fields, create_custom_field, update_custom_field, archive_custom_field.

In plain English: see which custom fields exist for companies, people and deals; create new ones (Text, URL, Date, Single Select, Multi Select); rename or change options; archive fields you no longer need.

Try: "Create a Single Select field on companies called Territory with Southeast, Texas and Other."

Agents

Tools: list_agents, get_agent, create_agent, update_agent, activate_agent, pause_agent, archive_agent, set_agent_webhook, list_outbound_deliveries.

In plain English: list agents with status and triggers; read an agent's goal and steps; create a new agent from a description; edit the goal; activate, pause or archive; switch the inbound webhook on or off and get its URL; see outbound webhook deliveries.

Try: "Create an agent that flags deals that have not moved in 10 days." "Show me the last 20 webhook deliveries from the Demo intake agent."

Workspace

Tool: list_organization_members. Lists teammates and roles so the assistant can assign owners by name.

Not available through MCP today

  • Sending email or SMS directly, and placing calls. The assistant can create an agent that sends, or draft text for you to paste, but it cannot send from the chat.

  • Enrolling an agent on specific records. Use Enroll Agent or the Action Bar in the app.

  • Buying phone numbers, registration, and billing.

  • Database search and reveal. If your workspace has Database tools enabled in the connector, the assistant will offer them; otherwise use the Database tab.

Everything runs under your role. If you cannot archive a deal in the app, the assistant cannot either.
